The church Halloween party

Ben's doctor visits have inspired him to be a doctor. After getting his flu shot yesterday, he actually said, "I like shots mom." We have Curious George books to thank for that. He has wanted a shot just like George ever since April when we first read it. When you ask him why he wants to be a doctor he says, "so I can help kids." Posted by Picasa

Ben's "Rock Concert"

We went to Ralph's World. He plays on Disney Channel between shows. Since is was a small auditorium, Ben got to go on stage with all the other kids to check out the instruments.
He watched the drummer for a long time and said drums were his favorite. Uh oh. We were hoping to get a guitar player in the family! Ben is in front with the red plaid shirt. Posted by Picasa

Ben's sculpture

B started going to an occasional class at a nature center.
Last week they talked about crickets. They discussed the anatomy, the chirping, read books, went on a nature walk to find some, and built this anatomically correct cricket. Did you know they have 5 eyes? Posted by Picasa

Making Butter

Ben and mommy have started a little pre-school at home.
Today we practiced numbers and talked about cows and dairy products:)
This is Ben shaking his cream to make butter. He got a huge kick out of it. Posted by Picasa

Festival

We went to the Fall for Fairfax Festival.
Ben got to look at model trains, ride a small train, ride a pony, eat kettle corn, play at a petting zoo and stuff a scarecrow. Not bad for a cloudy Saturday afternoon! Posted by Picasa

Ben feeding goats

B loved the animals, of course!
He was so soft with them, softer than he is with babies!
