You know the kids are having fun when their lips turn purple from being cold and they still don't want to stop playing in the water.

More Lego Birthday Gifts

Thanks family!!!

Lego is genius. Every time we go into the store they have something new. The latest craze is Power Miners. We now have the Crystal King (dad), a medium size monster he calls mom and small rock monster (Ben). Ben says he's excited to play school with them now. Rock Monsters and Crystal Kings are people too!

Making Birthday Cake

Now that Ben is 6, I wonder when he is going to start eating all those veggies he promised he would eat. He says, he is starting with cooked carrots.

What Ben Woke Up To

Fortunately for us, Ben's birthday fell on Memorial Day this year. This meant no school and Steven was able to be home all day. We dedicated the entire day to Ben and his Legos...a perfect day:)

Ben's Presents

I realized the night before Ben's B-day that I only had white paper to wrap the presents. So Steven and I drew pictures of some of Ben' s favorite things to livin things up.

Lego People

Ben was excited to see there were new policemen and thieves in the bunch.
***Note about thieves:
The previous thief in Ben's Lego City liked to steal hay from the farmer. He did it many times and then one day Ben said he found out he was allergic to hay so he wouldn't be stealing it anymore. He moved on to the bank and has been a headache to the bank family ever since. He is also a headache to the police department because he is quite the escape artist.

Police on the Move

After Ben had been alone with his new Legos for a while, he hollered," mom! You've got to come see this! Look at the police!" I came into his room to find a whole procession of policemen on bike, motorcycle, car and plane. Apparently there had been a jail break (a frequent occurrence in Lego City). The thieves were on the loose.

The Escape

I asked, "where are the thieves?" and looked all around the city. Then I spotted them, hiding behind the farmer's house...very sneaky.

Here we have a skate boarder who thought it wise to skate near the edge of the lake. He slipped off his board and had to be rescued. Notice he is now on a newly acquired stretcher.

In Ben's Lego City, something always seems to be catching on fire. Good thing we have a well staffed fire department. They stay camped out and ready to go by the lake.

It may seem like its a dangerous place but the Lego people have fun as well. The family of three boys and a father like to play tag in the park. Never mind that their mother died when she was 70... after giving birth to triplets? If you ask Ben anything about the Lego people, you're going to get an interesting answer:)
