Oh Christmas Tree

Thank you Ikea for your ornaments. I now feel like we've honored a bit of our Swedish ancestry.

Another Tooth Bites the Dust

Ben lost his second tooth Dec. 6, the day we set up our Christmas tree. Unfortunately, the tooth fairy forgot to come this time. Fortunately Ben forgot as well, being distracted in the morning by the tree, so we were able to sneek some cash under his pillow before the neglect was noticed. Phew!

A Few Pictures From Our So You Think You Can Dance Concert!

Well, now you know we're fans. But I'm telling you, anyone could appreciate this dancing in person. It was awesome! I was sad from the first number because I knew it was going to eventually end. Even Steven was screaming," I love you Twitch!" What a fun night! They performed all our favorites and more.

Attention Tooth Fairy!

Ben has lost his first tooth! After a week of having a wobbly tooth (with many thanks in his bedtime prayers for that wobbly tooth), that tooth fell out on Sunday November 9th! He wore a tooth shaped badge at school the next day proclaiming his tooth loss success. I keep saying, its a good things kids get really excited about their teeth falling out because, shouldn't it actually be very scary? We put the tooth in a little bag and hid it under Ben's pillow. Later that night, after nearly forgetting to perform my tooth fairy duties, I searched under his pillow to find the tooth missing! I flopped Ben all around searching for the tooth (through wich he slept soundly), to discover it was definitely gone. I began to wonder if Ben's faith had actually produced a tooth fairy. I then awoke Steven to see if he knew anything and turned out, he had in fact moved the tooth to the book shelf. So I deposited a $5 bill with personalized note and went to bed. In the morning Ben asked, "mom, did you leave this?" He's already onto us.

Ben's kindergarten class voted as well. He reported, 10 votes for McCain and 12 for Obama. Sounds like a good representation of how the whole state of Virginia voted. You should her Ben say Barrack Obama. Its sounds like Borock Obama.

Steven Passed the Bar!

Its official! Steven passed the Bar and we drove down to Richmond VA for him to be sworn in... happy ending to a law student's story. Phew!

We don't have any good pictures of the swearing in. It was basically like graduation. Different schools called off hundred's of names and people stood when called. I didn't even get a picture of Steven standing. It was great to see him officially become a lawyer and a miracle Ben sat through the whole thing coloring.
