Country Fun
While Steven was away for the weekend at a wedding, Ben and I went looking for some fun! We found ourselves an hour from home at the Great Country Farms in Bluemont, Virginia. Look how beautiful it is! The farm was a great place with pick-you-own fruit, toys for the kids, fishing, hayrides and farm animals to feed. We spent the whole day enjoying the farm!
Can we have a pet goat? And emu?
The majority of our time was spent on feeding animals. Look at the amusement on this face. Now Ben wishes he lived on a farm.
Watching Others Fish
Since I have no fishing skills of my own, we watched as a random family fished. They were kind enough to let Ben share in the experience of seeing the fish up close and touching it. Although the fish were small, the kids were never disappointed. You only had to wait a few seconds after the bait touched the water to get a bite. Very easy fishing!

Tooth Down
The dances posted below, are the last dances Ben ever did with his top two teeth. Immediatly after the filming of the dances, Ben sat on my lap eating a cinnamon roll as we previewed his work on the computer. Suddenly he said, "uh oh!" He put the roll down and ran to the bathroom. Seeing his tooth dangling and ready to come out, I thought I was going to be sick having to touch it and pull it out. But no need for worry because Ben just grabbed a hold of it himself and got the job done. Look at this whole new smile! That tooth lasted so much longer than we expected. Remember the bathtub slipping incident of September of 08', which caused a rush to the photography studio for a "last" picture with both his top teeth. I really believe only Ben's little prayers that they would stay in, kept them hanging on for so long.
