Something inspired us to get a pet. It was actually an episode of "Man vs. Wild." Bear was on a beach, pulling the large pincher off hermit crabs for food, and it struck me--the perfect pet for a child with allergies! But as you can see, this is not a hermit crab. Upon examination of Pet Smart's crab selection, Ben and I were unimpressed. Talk about boring. Not a single crab was moving. 80% of the shells didn't even look like they contained crabs. The Beta fish on the other hand were looking very alive and very entertaining. Meet "Po-Po", our gaurd fish. He watches the apartment when we're not home, hense the use of our nickname for the PO-lice. We love our little fish friend:)
